As you plan a wedding the struggle to pay for your wedding will be one of the first stressors of your plan and your relationship. An easy way to avoid this is to come up with a clear cut plan, that everyone can agree on. So, here are some tips to help your road to the altar to be a lot more bearable.

There are a lot of places you can trim your budget, but the venue should not be one of them. This allows you to have a ceremony with a more traditional feel, and provides you a more emotional experience, too! This moves your wedding toward being a more sentimental event, and allows for a much deeper experience for your family and friends! Plus, plan a wedding that will make hitting your budget’s bottom line much easier because your event didn’t require the expense of a new gown. The gown can always be altered if the fit or style is not what you are looking for.

As you plan a wedding make sure you put in your plan not to get drunk! It goes without saying most of your guest will follow your lead when it comes to drinking alcohol and how much they drink. You probably want everyone to remember your special day. Keep your alcohol intake to a minimum so you can actually remember the night you had for the rest of your life and not end up on the nightly news.

Your reception hall will have a maximum number of people allowed to be present at any one time; so, be sure you ask what that number is for the venue. This is important as you plan a wedding don’t overpopulate the reception hall by inviting more guest than it can hold. This can be dangerous and may put a huge damper on your event (if the fire department shows up), don’t let this happen to you. Remember, this is a “Cinderella” event so, you don’t want to forget how long you have your venue rented.

Depending on the season, you may get a better deal for your wedding venue than you would otherwise. This is a great way to save money, be able to invite more guests and have a terrific wedding all at the same time. Ask the venue consultant what the price differences would be if you were to book in the summer or in the fall as opposed to the spring and winter. Venue details are extremely important as you plan a wedding, it should start with the venue and work from this point.

Understand that all who are supporting you and helping with your wedding are doing it out of love, as you should show them respect and appreciate what they are doing for you. It is important to never earn the tag “bridezilla” it is not worth the damage to relationships.

Remember, as you plan a wedding going high-end on your wedding can be expensive, but there are lots of places to save money. (i.e., Reducing your guest list, Catering costs, venue size, and other considerations can be reduced cost.) This will allow you to spend more on your favorite stuff. For example, more for your dress, flowers, party favors and all this because you’ve saved money along the way.

When you are planning your wedding, and you may not have the time to spend hours on every little detail. You should consider hiring a wedding planner to take care of those things for you. But, you should should be mindful a wedding planner is not necessary for every detail, keep those things you want to handle and give the rest to your planner. Most, are satisfied with less tasks and their fees adjust for these things.

So, be cool, be calm, and don’t let tensions flare up. You need to remember this is your special day. So, when you see tensions mount remind everyone this is your day and they should respect your wishes.
