Officiating Your Ceremony Is Our Greatest Pleasure!
The wedding gown is most likely one of the first and most important items the bride chooses for her special day. The most widely available bridal gowns are often made of synthetic fabrics. A cost effective way is making the dress yourself. I have talked to many brides and the trend is, going to the fabric store and making the dress yourself, and if by chance you have talented bridesmaids, they can help you as well make their own dress. And you don't have to sacrifice your style.
In the past few years, the popularity of vineyard weddings has grown tremendously. If a winery is your location of choice, book early. Some are so popular they are booked years in advance. Vineyards offer a unique atmosphere that lets you enjoy a momentous occasion with only your friends, family, and nature. And now that we are heading into our warmer months, it is a great time to book your ceremony at your nearby vineyard, or one is recommended by a friend or relative.
If you can't find the perfect outdoor spot in a park, maybe a garden is more your style. Imagine walking toward the love of your life surrounded by blooming beauties, the magnificent scent of fresh flowers everywhere--- romance at its best. Do you have any botanical gardens near you? Or perhaps an organic flower garden? You might want to check the phone book or maybe, a private home. A local extension office can point you in the right direction for a garden location.
The first place to consider for an outdoor wedding may be a park, whether local or some place you've always dreamed of. Many people do not realize the opportunities that are available through local park and recreation resources. Does you city have a park downtown? A riverside park? Maybe somewhere with a gorgeous gazebo or amazing amphitheater? Do you ever see signs for music or movies in the park? Those places are usually well equipped for weddings. Drive around or surf the web for local attractions.
Many outdoor locations may pose their own challenges. Weather unpredictability being the biggest issue, you'll want to find a location that has many options if the weather is bad---a pavilion, a large building, or a location where a large event tent can be set up to shelter everyone in case of rain. Another big problem in the great outdoors can be pests, specifically mosquitoes. Citronella candles, lamps, and torches may be a good solution to help control the bug problem. How about trying all-natural sprays or foggers before the event to shoo away the mosquito population.
Nothing says "GREEN" like an outdoor wedding the in the middle of nature's glory. Beautiful flowers, sunny skies, big trees full of green leaves, a lake with a waterfall in the background---how enchanting. There are so many choices, parks, botanical and organic gardens, nature preserves, and other many other welcoming sites. Barns weddings are very popular, along with a clearing in the woods by your house, along a local trail, or a park. How about the beach, a rooftop garden or how about in the middle of a pumpkin patch.
Before Victoria times, brides did not always wear white for their weddings. Blue was the earliest color that symbolized purity and it's probably where the "something blue" line in the old rhyme came from. In many other cultures, white has never been a common wedding dress color. Norwegian brides traditional wore green, while Icelandic brides wore black. Red is commonly by Asian bides.
Thank you so much for helping to make our wedding the beautiful event it turned out to be. Your guidance leading up to the Wedding Day and your services on it, were absolutely perfect. Thank you so much and wish you both the absolute best!
