Location, Location, Location!
The location of your wedding may be one of the most important aspects of your entire wedding. You want it to be someplace very special, beautiful and meaningful to you. The choices are endless, limited by only your imagination. They can be anything from traditional, such as your place of worship to something unique ranging from wild to mild. You can choose a boat on the lake, on the side of a mountain, or on a beach with the sunset behind you. There are so many "new trends" these days, including saying "I do" at vineyards, ski lodges or in your backyard!
Happy Valentine's Day
What a romantic day to get married on, Valentine's Day. What a romantic day to perform wedding ceremonies, on Valentine's Day. All the couples were so beautiful and so much in love.
Where To Do Your Shopping
One way to keep costs to a minimum is by shopping at local antique stores, thrift stores and at yard sales instead of bridal boutiques and wedding super centers. You can borrow or rent items to help stay in your budget. Keep it simple. Another budget friendly idea is to get married during the week. As a rule vendors charge less on the weekdays. Have your reception earlier in the day so you don't have to provide a dinner. These are just a few suggestions to help keep your costs down. And don't forget to search the internet for more creative money-saving advice, tips and resources.
Where To Start
How do you keep track of all the things you need to do for your wedding ceremony and reception? Organization is the "key"! The best way to start is to get a spiral bound notebook with folders, a three ring binder, or a custom wedding planner book to keep all of your lists and receipts together. Another well organize idea is, do your research. Search for locations that would be suitable for your ceremony and reception and don't forget to get an officiant, call Can-A-Lope Weddings and we will meet you at the location of your choice.

Surprise Twist
Everything went great. Tony and Jodi were a beautiful couple. And there was a surprise twist to the day. A square dance group was planning an event by "The Cannon" at the same time as the wedding. They were all excited so everyone wanted to be part of the celebration. The elopement for two ended up as a wedding with about 75 guests. There were pictures, videos and warm wishes all around. Several people promise to email the photos to Tony and Jodi. I believed they enjoyed their wedding. So thanks for everything and say hello to Jeff for me.
Our Ministers Go The Extra Mile
About this couple, we were working on a meeting time. They live way down south in Tacoma but are
planning their wedding up north. (about 50 miles north of Seattle) I scheduled a meeting a little over half way from my home to Tacoma.
I called several times before the meeting, sent a couple of emails and asked them if there were any changes to please phone me so I didn't
have to make the trip. Never heard a thing. I phoned them several times the day and evening of our meeting. No response, so therefore I
Personlize Wedding Vows
Yes, it's homework time. You will need to sit down in a quiet space with paper and pen and answer these questions. Even if you don't think the answer will end up in your wedding vows, still take the time to write it down. It may help you in the long run. If you encounter writer's block, first try taking a short break and than ask yourself these questions:
* What is the most single greatest thing about your partner?
* When did you know that you were in love or know that this person was the one you wanted to spend the rest of your life with?
Valentine's Day Is Coming Up
The other day I heard a good friend tell me that for Valentine's Day she purchase some clear red balloons and before blowing them up, she place either wrapped candies, small gifts, and/or love poems inside each one, and then give them to her loved one as a bouquet. How romantic!
